I was delighted to be photographing Fiona and Gray’s wedding. They are such a great couple and had such interesting lives apart before embarking on a new life together. They both have a keen interest in craft and they actually made all of the the orange flowers out of sugar craft, along with making the cake themselves too.

The wedding was at Cambridge Registry Office with the reception at the beautiful Hotel Du Vin. A lovely boutique hotel, the food looked delicious and the murals in the reception room are amazing!

The wedding was quite small, close friends and family only, which was lovely and intimate. As well as the wedding Fiona and Gray had a party at their house a few weeks later, which I was also invited a long to for more photos. I loved this, I’ve never actually done this before and it was great to meet everyone from the wedding again. It was a really good laugh, some their friends are real characters and I must say I first for me as a` photographer to be dragged onto the dance floor!

Because I offer an hourly rate for weddings, it’s perfect if you just want a photographer for a couple of hours instead of the whole day. Sometimes, especially if you’ve been married before, or if you have a low-key wedding, you just don’t want a whole day of photography, a few hours is sufficient.

I’ve said this before, but what I love the most about my job is meeting interesting, new people. This lot were no exception! Lots of fun which I loved documenting for them.
