My name is Claire, I studied photography as part of my degree 20 years ago. After art college I moved to London and worked in publishing and design before concentrating on photography. I feel that having a design background is a huge benefit to my photography, and I am fortunate enough to have worked in the design and photography industry all of my life.

As well as photography, I love people. I enjoy photographing what we do and what our children do. All the moments we miss on a day to day basis that make you and your family magical. I want to document that for you so you can look back fondly over the years and remember how things were.

I take photos in a very unobtrusive way, I like to make you feel at ease with me being there so I can photograph as you are, no posing and set up shots, just as you are, doing what you do. I like to see real emotion in my photographs, usually happiness, there’s nothing like a bit of happiness!

My aim is to create a visual story and document naturally and honestly. I’m a pretty friendly person and I’m lucky that in my job I meet and get to know so many interesting people. Every shoot is different and I love that.

I live in Writtle on the outskirts of Chelmsford in Essex with my teenage boys and Bonkers, our cairn terrier.
