My name is Claire and I love taking photographs! I studied photography as part of my degree 20 years ago. Since then I have worked as a graphic designer for major publishing and design companies, as well as a photographer.

My photographs are about capturing personality in a relaxed way. I work in an unobtrusive way to achieve natural images. The majority of my images are unposed so they are photos of you or your child as you are – not how I think you should look.

Portraits & Family

I enjoy taking all kinds of portraits but I absolutely love taking photos of little ones. As a mum I know every child has a special look. That smile or expression that never seems to come out in posed photographs. My aim is to catch this for you.

I feel the best place to get natural images of you or your child is somewhere you feel completely at ease. This could be your home, your local park or somewhere special to you. Basically, you have a morning walk, day out, run round the park, and I’ll tag along with my camera. I am delighted that the majority of families I photograph have asked me to take photos every year or so for them. I love this, to watch your children grow and get to know them and you over the years is an absolute pleasure.

For weddings I want you to look back at your photos and remember your day as it was. I document weddings as they happen, with as few posed images as possible, although it is always a good idea to have some formal group shots too. I will mingle with your guests, keeping out the way, photographing the moments around me. Every wedding is unique, and I want your wedding photos to look like your wedding photos. They will capture the mood so you can reflect on your day for years to come.
